Your translation
Get to know the NIV.
The New International Version is a widely used modern English translation of the Bible, first published in 1978 by Biblica (formerly the International Bible Society) and later revised in 1984 and 2011. It was produced by a team of over 100 scholars from various evangelical denominations, translating from the most reliable Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek manuscripts. The NIV uses a balance between word-for-word and thought-for-thought translation, aiming for accuracy, clarity, and readability for a broad audience, making it one of the most popular Bibles worldwide.
